These clients had diverse interests- a beautiful collection of Blenko Glass, a stunning garden, vintage Lionel trains, and a treasured collection of music on vinyl. Our task was to curate their home to reflect their passions.
They wanted to showcase the glowing colors of their glass, and their collection of vintage and modern art, in a way that looked intentional. They also needed space for their plants, which added vibrant life to every room. We curated their gallery wall, and created space in the functional areas for display.
The tribal rugs set a unifying color palette, while the deep tones of the walnut furniture provide a deep grounding tone. We commissioned a custom record storage cabinet, in walnut and ebony, designed with enough depth for a turntable.
The home office had to function as a guest room. We created closet storage in a tall cabinet. But it also includes a well lit table top for assembling models, and a sit/stand desk for comfortable hours programming, (and of course in zoom meetings).
Every project is a partnership and collaboration with the homeowners, and this family were all very fun collaborators. I love the eclectic charm we created together.
